This beautiful piece has been hand made from a recycled steel drum and turned into a stunning Celtic Cross incorporating the Claddagh Ring and Shamrock decoration.
The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring in which a heart represents love, the crown stands for loyalty, and two clasped hands symbolize friendship.
Starting with a 55 gallon steel drum, the metal is cleaned, sanded and pounded flat and the design is cut out by hand using a hammer and chisel.
Measuring 18 x 12 inches, this piece is finished with a clear coat varnish to insure that it will look fantastic either indoors or outdoors. For outdoor use it is recommended to spray the sculpture yearly with a clear rust protector to maintain the original look.
Color varies from dark silver to brown rustic tones depending on the steel drum used.
